Q: Our house is lovely, however it is so overridden with dark antiques, floors, cabinets, etc. that I am feeling overwhelmed with how to brighten it up or make it a bit more modern. Many of the pieces are original antiques from my husband's deceased mom, so we need to keep many of them. My house just feels so old and outdated. Help! Would love to hear your thoughts.
