At a certain point during breast feeing, it is natural for the baby to bite the breast. This becomes one among many important avenues for mother and baby to negotiate their boundaries - the boundaries of self and other. All of child rearing is about boundaries and love. The provision of good enough maternal love is the most important presence in a child’s life.
