Ariel Knutson is the special sauce in our editorial team. She makes everything just a little bit more fun (if you've watched her on Facebook Live, you'll know what I'm talking about). She's also the one to ask about the cool, new thing that has everyone tweeting (or 'gramming or pinning). Wine slushies? Yup, she's all over that.

So, of course, we were dying to know the pint that gets Ariel's top score. Ready to read more about her favorite flavor?

As far as I can tell, Ariel hasn't met an ice cream flavor she won't try. In fact, I'd say she's on a mission to eat as much ice cream as she can. Case in point: As soon as she heard about the jet-black coconut ash ice cream at Morgenstern's, she walked the 10 blocks from our office to see for herself (and returned with black teeth). That flavor didn't make the cut; instead her go-to is something that screams summer fun, but also has an air of sophistication. Just like Arie.

Here's what Arie has to say about her favorite pint.

The first time I ever had something from McConnell's was last summer, when I wrote about the five indie ice cream brands you need to know about for The Kitchn. I think I tried something like 40 pints of ice cream in a single day (hard life), and Eureka Lemon & Marionberries was hands-down my favorite. There's something about the tart lemon mixed with the berries and the creaminess of the ice cream that just hits the spot. I had no idea that ice cream could be so refreshing and creamy and indulgent at the same time. This flavor will forever have my heart.

Although Eureka Lemon & Marionberries is my number-one choice, I've also found a few new favorites. Particularly, I'm in currently in love with Lemon Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt from Jeni's, B3 from Toscanini's Ice Cream, and Cookie Dough with Pretzels and Chocolate Chips from Smitten.
