White is a big deal this year. Several paint companies — Benjamin Moore and Glidden among them — announced shades of white as their official "color of the year." But my favorite among all of them is Sherwin-Williams' own pick, Alabaster — which just happens to be all over the walls of my house, including in my kitchen.
